CHRISTMAS CRAFT WORKSHOP
We are holding our annual Family Christmas Craft Workshop here at Pre-school on Saturday 1st December 10.30-1.30pm. This is a free event open to the local community so feel free to invite family and friends to come along. There will be lots of craft activities available based around the theme of winter and Christmas for adults and children to enjoy together. Refreshments will also be available. Please note all children must be accompanied by an adult.
CHRISTMAS SHOPPING SESSIONS
We do have some sessions available this half term. If you would like to book your child in for an extra session or two so you can get all your Christmas shopping sorted please speak to Cathy.
Our Christmas Party will be held on Thursday 20th December, 11:00-13:00. A letter with more information will come out to parents shortly.
Don’t forget that we offer a breakfast club for families that might need wrap-around care in the mornings. The club starts at 08:30 and runs until Pre-school opens at 09:15. Breakfast consisting of toast or cereal is available and the cost is just £5.00 per session. Sessions can be booked on a regular or a one off basis.
In the event of adverse weather the Pre-school Managers will make the decision as to whether to open or close. The decision, if possible, will be made before 7:30 am and will be based on the information received from the media regarding the weather forecast for the day and supplemented by on the spot. Parents will be notified via the Website www.holytrinitypreschool.co.uk where the decision for the day will be posted by 7:40 in the morning. We will also try to email parents and put a post on Facebook.
In the event of Pre-School having to close due to severe weather starting during opening hours, a message for parents to collect their children will be posted on the website and parents will also be contacted by phone and asked to come and collect their children as soon as possible. Please ensure all your contact details and those of your emergency contact are current.
Please make sure your child’s lunch box is clearly named, contains an ice block and does not include any products that contain nuts.
We have signed up to the NHS Change4Life Startwell Healthy Eating and Being Active Programme so we ask that you do not put any sweets or fizzy/energy drinks into their lunch box. We also request that no cakes, sweets or other edible treats are sent in by parents to celebrate their child’s birthday
Holy Trinity Pre-School is a registered charity and is governed by a voluntary Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees is responsible for the operation of Pre-school and acts as the Trustee of the charity. The Board meets every half term to support the work of the staff and to organise fundraising and social events. We are a bit short of members and would really appreciate your support. If you are interested in helping or if you would like more information please speak to Cathy.
Can you help? As you know we are a non-profit making charity which relies on the support of our parents and volunteer trustees. Do you have a skill or access to resources that might benefit our Pre-school? Please speak to Cathy if you think you can help
Fundraising is a very important part of the Board of Trustee’s role at Pre-School. If you work for a bank or finance company, they may match our fundraising efforts. Please let us know if you can help!
GOVERNMENT SUPPORT WITH CHILDCARE COSTS
